Gerard Valcin

Gerard Valcin was born in 1925 in Port-au-Prince.
As a young man he was a tile setter
1950’s he joined the Centre d’Art

He is important figure in the second generation of Haitian painters.
His work is included in the permanent collections of the Musee d’Art Haitien du college Saint Pierre in Port-au-Prince, the Milwaukee Museum of Art, and the Waterloo (Iowa) Museum of Art.
